| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Wayne L. Webb of McHenry, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | on August 11, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Wayne Webb was born in Elmira, New York to Ruth | ||||||
| 6 | and Harry Webb on February 26, 1936; he earned a baseball | ||||||
| 7 | scholarship to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, | ||||||
| 8 | graduating in 1958; he received a master's degree in | ||||||
| 9 | administration from Northern Illinois University; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Wayne Webb taught multiple subjects for 36 years | ||||||
| 11 | in Elgin School District U-46; he started the Building Trades | ||||||
| 12 | program and influenced countless individuals through his | ||||||
| 13 | passion for teaching and his love of coaching basketball and | ||||||
| 14 | football; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Wayne Webb considered himself a very fortunate | ||||||
| 16 | man, marrying the love of his life, teaching in the public | ||||||
| 17 | schools, coaching, traveling the world, and building 30 | ||||||
| 18 | residential homes, mostly in the Elgin area; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Wayne Webb is survived by his wife of 57 years, | ||||||
| 20 | Patricia A. Webb; his children, Christi Pleasant, Kurt (Arlyn) | ||||||
| 21 | Webb, and Terry (Shay) Brill; nine grandchildren; and one | ||||||
| |||||||

| 1 | great-grandchild; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 4 | Wayne L. Webb, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 6 | further
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 8 | presented to the family of Wayne Webb as an expression of our | ||||||
| 9 | deepest sympathy.
