Bill Title: Proposes to amend the Legislature Article of the Illinois Constitution. Provides that if a municipality has been divided between two or more Legislative Districts under a redistricting plan, that municipality may petition to the General Assembly, or the Commission established by the General Assembly, to unify the municipality into one Legislative District. Provides that the General Assembly or Commission shall either unify the municipality or provide the municipality with an explanation of the necessity of dividing the municipality into two or more Legislative Districts. Effective upon being declared adopted.
