Selection of superintendent of public instruction. Provides for the state superintendent of public instruction (superintendent) to be appointed by the governor after January 10, 2021. Provides that, after January 10, 2021, the governor appoints the members of the charter school review panel. (Under current law, the superintendent, or the governor jointly with the superintendent, appoints the members of the panel.) Provides that, after January 10, 2021, the governor appoints the director of special education.
