Bill Title: State board of accounts. Authorizes the state examiner to appoint an employee of the state board of accounts as the director of special investigations (director). Requires that the director must have completed certain law enforcement training programs and must have at least 10 years of law enforcement experience. Provides that the director is a law enforcement officer for purposes of the criminal law. Adds the director to the definition of "police officer" for purposes of the statute providing a sentence enhancement for individuals who point a firearm or discharge a firearm at a police officer while committing certain crimes.
