Bill Title: Sales tax district for healthy food programs. Allows the fiscal body of a county to designate a special food desert district (district) if the district is located in a census tract with low median income and low access to the nearest supermarket as determined by the United States Department of Agriculture in its Food Access Research Atlas. Provides that if a district is designated, an additional 1% sales tax applies to retail transactions within the district.
