RESOLUTION
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Malcolm DeKryger
and the Pembroke Oaks Farm.
Whereas, Pembroke Oaks Farm is a 2,470 sow site located
in Wheatfield;
Whereas, Malcolm DeKryger, Vice President of Belstra
Milling Company in Demotte, oversees pork production at
Pembroke Oaks Farm;
Whereas, Malcolm DeKryger, a member of the Indiana
Pork Board of Directors, and Pembroke Oaks Farm were
recently named a recipient of the National Pork Board's
2010 Pork Industry Environmental Steward Award;
Whereas, Pembroke Oaks Farm, one of only four farms in
the United States receiving the recognition, earned this
honor because the farm demonstrated a commitment to
protecting the environment while conducting day-to-day
duties; and
Whereas, Malcolm DeKryger and the entire team at
Pembroke Oaks Farm are shining examples of how to run a
successful business and still protect our natural resources:
Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly congratulates
Malcolm DeKryger and Pembroke Oaks Farm on being named a
recipient of the National Pork Board's 2010 Pork Industry
Environmental Steward Award and urges the group to keep protecting
our natural resources.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Malcolm
DeKryger and Pembroke Oaks Farm.
