Synopsis: Sales of motorcycles on Sunday. Permits the purchase, sale,
or trade of motorcycles on Sunday. (Current law provides that a person
who buys, sells, or trades motor vehicles, including motorcycles, on
Sunday commits a Class B misdemeanor.)
Effective: July 1, 2012.

SENATE BILL No. 192
A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning trade
regulation.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SECTION 1. IC 24-4-6-1, AS AMENDED BY P.L.156-2006,
SECTION 24, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE
JULY 1, 2012]: Sec. 1. (a) This section does not apply to the
following:
(1) A person that holds a special event permit issued under IC 9-23-2-16.
(2) The buying, selling, or trading of a motor vehicle that is a motorcycle (as defined in IC 9-13-2-108).
(b) A person who engages in the business of buying, selling, or trading motor vehicles on Sunday commits a Class B misdemeanor.
(1) A person that holds a special event permit issued under IC 9-23-2-16.
(2) The buying, selling, or trading of a motor vehicle that is a motorcycle (as defined in IC 9-13-2-108).
(b) A person who engages in the business of buying, selling, or trading motor vehicles on Sunday commits a Class B misdemeanor.
