Summary

Create a new section of KRS Chapter 311 to encourage all physicians and physician assistants who provide well-child care services to educate and discuss the warning signs of Type I diabetes and symptoms with the parents or guardians of each child under their care at birth, and at yearly intervals until the age of five; create a new section of KRS Chapter 314 to encourage all advanced practice registered nurses who provide well-child care services to educate and discuss the warning signs of Type I diabetes and symptoms with the parents or guardians of each child under their care at birth, and at yearly intervals until the age of five.
