Summary
Amend KRS 116.046 to require that at least once each school year, each public high school, vocational school, and upon request, private schools, must inform students and school personnel about the availability of voter registration forms and provide assistance with properly registering; require school districts to submit an annual report to the Legislative Research Commission documenting the dissemination of voter registration information, the total number of students who have registered to vote, and a plan for encouraging students to vote; include sophomores as an eligible class of persons to receive access to secondary school programs regarding instructions in voting; include within the secondary school programs of public education regarding elections, how to register to vote, how to vote in an election using a ballot, and how to vote using an absentee ballot.
