An Act Promoting Green Affordable Housing in the Commonwealth .
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 40B of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting, after section 21, the following section:-
Section 21A. Any low or moderate income residential construction project built under a comprehensive permit is required to be 20% more energy efficient than the average state efficiency for similar-use buildings.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
