An Act relative to rental and tenant selection.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 44 of Chapter 121B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 4 and 5, the words “who need not be residents a of the city or town, but shall be residents of the commonwealth” and inserting in place thereof the following:- who shall be residents of the commonwealth for a period of 2 years prior to the date of application, and who shall furnish satisfactory proof of such residency.
