An Act Relative to Police Pursuits in the Commonwealth. .



                Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

            Section 25 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition by adding to the end of said section 25 the following:— Any person who, while operating or in charge of a motor vehicle, when being pursued by a police officer in an official police vehicle displaying lights and siren, shall refuse or neglect to stop, shall be punished by a fine of not less than one thousand dollars nor more than ten thousand dollars and imprisonment in State Prison for not  less than two and one-half years nor more than five years, or both such fine and imprisonment.
