An Act relative to driving with an expired license.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled,
and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, no fine shall be imposed for a first offense of violating section 10 of chapter 90 of the General Laws by driving with an expired license within 6 months of the expiration date. This section shall expire when the registry of motor vehicles returns to notifying drivers of the need to renew their license or 3 years following the effective date of this act.
