HOUSE BILL No. 4123

     A bill to amend 1980 PA 299, entitled

 

"Occupational code,"

 

by amending section 2506 (MCL 339.2506), as amended by 1988 PA 463.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 2506. (1) The license of a real estate salesperson shall

 

be delivered or mailed to the real estate broker by whom the real

 

estate salesperson is employed and shall be kept in the custody and

 

control of the broker. A real estate broker shall conspicuously

 

display the real estate broker's license and the license of each

 

real estate salesperson employed by the real estate broker in the

 


real estate broker's place of business. Written notice shall be

 

given to the department by a licensee of a change of either a

 

principal or branch business location.

 

     (2) If the department determines that it will be unable to

 

issue a real estate salesperson's license under subsection (1)

 

within 2 weeks after the department determines that the applicant

 

for a real estate salesperson's license has met all requirements

 

for licensure, or the department is in fact unable to issue the

 

real estate salesperson's license within 2 weeks, the department

 

shall issue to the applicant, without payment of an additional fee,

 

a temporary license pursuant to section 213.
