A bill to amend 1976 PA 267, entitled
"Open meetings act,"
(MCL 15.261 to 15.275) by adding section 9a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 9a. A public body that is a rule-making agency under the
administrative procedures act of 1969, 1969 PA 306, MCL 24.201 to
24.328, shall produce recordings of all of its meetings that are
required to be open to the public under this act and shall make
those recordings available to the public on its website or, if it
has no website, the website of the state department in which it is
located. As used in this section, "recording" means an audio
recording or an audio and video recording.
