A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled
"The social welfare act,"
(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 14d.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 14d. (1) In a juvenile residential care facility operated
by a court under section 14 that is located in a county with a
population of more than 46,000 but less than 48,000, a direct care
worker is qualified to and shall be allowed to work in the facility
if he or she has completed high school or obtained a general
equivalency diploma (GED).
(2) If an administrative rule conflicts with the provisions of
this section, the provisions of this section prevail.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
