HOUSE BILL No. 4408

 

March 26, 2015, Introduced by Reps. Crawford, Vaupel, McCready, Kesto, Love, Price, Brett Roberts, Jacobsen, Theis, Callton, Canfield and Singh and referred to the Committee on Agriculture.

 

     A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

 

"Public health code,"

 

(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 18813.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 18813. (1) A licensee seeking renewal of a veterinarian's

 

license shall, if requested, furnish the department with

 

satisfactory evidence that during the 2 years immediately preceding

 

application for renewal, he or she attended at least 30 hours of

 

continuing education courses or programs approved by the board.

 

     (2) A licensee seeking renewal of a veterinary technician's

 

license shall, if requested, furnish the department with

 

satisfactory evidence that during the 2 years immediately preceding

 

application for renewal, he or she attended at least 10 hours of

 

continuing education courses or programs approved by the board.

 


     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
