HOUSE BILL No. 5530

 

 

February 7, 2018, Introduced by Reps. Theis, Santana, Noble, Whiteford, Rendon, Kelly, Bizon, VerHeulen, Glenn, Bellino, Kahle, Alexander, Farrington, Hornberger, Barrett, Griffin, Sheppard, VanderWall, LaFave, Leutheuser, Lucido, Reilly and Yaroch and referred to the Committee on Law and Justice.

 

     A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled

 

"The Michigan penal code,"

 

(MCL 750.1 to 750.568) by adding section 520o.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 520o. As part of its adjudication order, order of

 

disposition, judgment of sentence, or order of probation a court

 

shall order that an individual who is convicted of or, a juvenile

 

who is adjudicated for, a violation of section 520b, 520c, 520d,

 

520e, or 520g and who is a student at a school in this state is

 

prohibited from returning to the same school building he or she

 

attended if the victim of the violation attends school in that

 

school building.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days


after the date it is enacted into law.
