HOUSE BILL NO. 5560

March 12, 2024, Introduced by Reps. Schmaltz, Prestin, Markkanen, Cavitt, BeGole, Bezotte, Beson, Mueller, Borton, St. Germaine, Kunse, Mentzer, Harris, Roth, Morgan, McFall, Hill, VanderWall and Aragona and referred to the Committee on Natural Resources, Environment, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation.

A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 43536c.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 43536c. (1) A corrections officer may obtain any license under this part for which a lottery is not required at no cost upon presentation to a licensing agent of the corrections officer's employee identification or other evidence acceptable to the department. The license is valid during the season in which that license would otherwise be valid.

(2) As used in this section, "corrections officer" means a state correctional officer as that term is defined in section 2 of the correctional officers' training act of 1982, 1982 PA 415, MCL 791.502.

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless all of the following bills of the 102nd Legislature are enacted into law:

(a) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5558 (request no. 04975'23 *).

(b) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5559 (request no. 05176'24 *).
