A bill to amend 1969 PA 317, entitled
"Worker's disability compensation act of 1969,"
(MCL 418.101 to 418.941) by adding section 661.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 661. (1) An employer subject to this act shall post up-
to-date proof of its securement of payment of compensation under
section 611(1) in a conspicuous location at each place of
employment.
(2) An employer that violates this section may be ordered to
pay a civil fine of not more than $7,000.00. A violation of this
section may be prosecuted by the prosecutor of the county in which
the violation occurred or by the attorney general. A fine collected
under this section must be paid to the worker's compensation
administrative revolving fund established in section 835a.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
