HOUSE BILL No. 5749

 

January 19, 2010, Introduced by Reps. Gregory, Hammel, LeBlanc, Bledsoe, Cushingberry, Haugh, Slezak, Geiss and Angerer and referred to the Committee on Health Policy.

 

     A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

 

"Public health code,"

 

by amending section 17967 (MCL 333.17967), as added by 2008 PA 471.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 17967. Beginning 1 year after the effective date

 

certification of administrative rules to implement and administer

 

this part, a local unit of government shall not establish or

 

maintain licensing requirements for a massage therapist licensed

 

under this part.
