SENATE BILL NO. 8

January 13, 2021, Introduced by Senator WOJNO and referred to the Committee on Elections.

A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled

"Michigan election law,"

(MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 18a.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 18a. As used in this act, "United States Department of Defense verified electronic signature" means the certificate-based digital identification code issued to qualified personnel by the United States Department of Defense as part of the Common Access Card, or its successor.

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 9 of the 101st Legislature is enacted into law.
