SENATE BILL NO. 457
A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
by amending section 82123 (MCL 324.82123), as added by 1995 PA 58.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 82123. (1) A person An individual operating or riding on a snowmobile shall wear a crash helmet on his or her head. Crash helmets shall be approved by the United States department of transportation. This section Department of Transportation.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a either of the following:
(a) person An individual riding on or operating a snowmobile on his or her the individual's own private property.
(b) An individual who possesses a written verification from a physician that the individual, for physical or medical reasons, is unable to wear a crash helmet. The individual shall exhibit the written verification on the request of a peace officer.
