1.2relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of certain tax-forfeited land
1.3bordering public waters.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
1.6WATER; CARLTON COUNTY.
1.7(a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
1.8Carlton County may sell the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in
1.9paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.
1.10(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
1.11general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
1.12(c) The land to be sold is located in Carlton County and is described as:
1.13(1) the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, Section 24, Township 47 North,
1.14Range 20 West (PIN 51-056-4070);
1.15(2) the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, Section 19, Township 47 North,
1.16Range 19 West (PIN 72-060-3000);
1.17(3) the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, Section 1, Township 47 North,
1.18Range 19 West (PIN 72-010-0060);
1.19(4) the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, Section 19, Township 47 North,
1.20Range 16 West (PIN 84-020-3110);
1.21(5) the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, Section 11, Township 48 North,
1.22Range 17 West (PIN 81-030-2140);
1.23(6) the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, Section 22, Township 48 North,

2.9(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
2.10best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
2.11EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
