1.2relating to public safety; providing housing in Hennepin County for registered
1.3predatory offenders assigned a risk level III; appropriating money.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PREDATORY OFFENDER HOUSING; APPROPRIATION.
1.6$....... is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal year 2014 to the commissioner
1.7of corrections to develop state-owned housing in Hennepin County for registered
1.8predatory offenders who are assigned a risk level III under Minnesota Statutes, section
1.9244.052. The housing must be distributed throughout the county so as to disperse the
1.10number of registered predatory offenders in the city of Minneapolis. The state shall charge
1.11a reasonable amount of rent for the housing based on the offender's income.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
