1.1CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT ON H. F. No. 2269
1.2A bill for an act
1.3relating to elections; determining funds for Help America Vote Act; appropriating
1.4money.

1.10We, the undersigned conferees for H. F. No. 2269 report that we have agreed upon
1.11the items in dispute and recommend as follows:
1.12That the Senate recede from its amendments and that H. F. No. 2269 be further
1.13amended as follows:
1.14Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.15    "Section 1. SECRETARY OF STATE; HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT.
1.16(a) The following amounts are appropriated in fiscal year 2013 to the secretary of
1.17state from the account established in Minnesota Statutes, section 5.30, pursuant to the
1.18Help America Vote Act:
1.19(1) $50,000 for Military and Overseas Empowerment Act compliance; and
1.20(2) $120,000 for support for local election officials.
1.21(b) $580,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2013 to the secretary of state from the
1.22account established in Minnesota Statutes, section 5.30, pursuant to the Help America
1.23Vote Act.
1.24(c) The secretary of state must not make any reductions to the business services
1.25division to offset any reductions to election services."
