1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. ST. PAUL; MULTIPURPOSE REGIONAL TRAINING AND PUBLIC
1.7SAFETY FACILITY.
1.8 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $6,500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.9fund to the commissioner of public safety for a grant to the city of St. Paul to acquire
1.10land for and to design, construct, furnish, and equip a multipurpose regional training and
1.11public safety facility in the city, or to acquire an existing facility in the city and design,
1.12renovate, furnish, and equip it for use as a multipurpose regional training and public safety
1.13facility. The facility will be used for preservice and in-service training and vehicle and
1.14equipment maintenance and have an indoor firing range. It may also be used for other
1.15related and compatible purposes.
1.16 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.17bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.18bonds of the state in an amount up to $6,500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.19the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.20Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.21EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
