1.3amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 124D.111, subdivision 1, by adding
1.4a subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 124D.111, subdivision 1, is amended to
1.7read:
1.8 Subdivision 1. School lunch aid computation. Each school year, the state must
1.9pay participants in the national school lunch program the amount of12 cents for each full
1.10paid, reduced, and free student lunch and 52 cents for each reduced-price student lunch
1.11served to students.
1.12EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for fiscal year 2014 and thereafter.
1.13 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 124D.111, is amended by adding a
1.14subdivision to read:
1.15 Subd. 4. No fees. A participant that receives school lunch aid under this section
1.16must make lunch available without charge to all participating students who qualify for free
1.17or reduced-price meals.
1.18EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for fiscal year 2014 and thereafter.
1.19 Sec. 3. APPROPRIATIONS.
2.1 Subdivision 1. Department of Education. The sums indicated in this section are
2.2appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years
2.3designated.
2.4 Subd. 2. School lunch. For school lunch aid according to Minnesota Statutes,
2.5section 124D.111, and Code of Federal Regulations, title 7, section 210.17:
