1.2relating to the city of Montgomery; authorizing the city to convey property for
1.3less than market value.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. TRANSFER OF PROPERTY.
1.6(a) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the city of Montgomery may convey, by
1.7quitclaim deed, to the Montgomery American Legion Post No. 79 the property described
1.8as "Block 7, Lots 14, 15, and 16, city of Montgomery, Le Sueur County, Minnesota." The
1.9city may convey the property for less than market value. Any conveyance of property
1.10under this section must be authorized by resolution adopted by a majority vote of the
1.11city council.
1.12(b) Any conveyance of the property described in paragraph (a) must prohibit the
1.13Montgomery American Legion Post No. 79 from transferring the property to a private
1.14entity for five years from the date of conveyance. The city may place any additional lawful
1.15conditions or restrictions on the conveyance.
1.16EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
