A bill for an act

relating to public safety; prohibiting the implementation of any federal law
requiring a national identification card.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

    Section 1. NO COMPLIANCE WITH NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION ACT.
The commissioner of public safety shall not take any action to implement or plan
for the implementation by the state of the sections of any law enacted by Congress that
require a national identification card.
EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
