1.2relating to the city of Richfield; authorizing the city to issue certain on-sale
1.3licenses.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. CITY OF RICHFIELD; ON-SALE LICENSE.
1.6Notwithstanding any law or ordinance to the contrary, in addition to the number of
1.7licenses authorized, the city of Richfield may issue an on-sale wine license and an on-sale
1.8malt liquor license to a person who is the owner of a junior hockey league team or to a
1.9person holding a concessions or management contract with the city or the team owner, for
1.10beverage sales at the Richfield Ice Arena. The licenses must authorize the dispensing of
1.11wine or malt liquor only to persons attending events at the arena for consumption on the
1.12premises. A license issued under this section authorizes sales on all days of the week to
1.13persons attending junior hockey league games at the arena.
1.14EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective upon timely compliance by the
1.15governing body of the city of Richfield and its chief clerical officer with Minnesota
1.16Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
