1.2relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of tax-forfeited land.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; PINE COUNTY.
1.5(a) Notwithstanding the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282,
1.6or other law to the contrary, Pine County may sell by private sale the tax-forfeited land
1.7described in paragraph (c).
1.8(b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
1.9general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
1.10(c) The land to be sold is located in Pine County and is described as: the East 132
1.11feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 42 North,
1.12Range 17 West, Wilma Township, Pine County, Minnesota, subject to a public road
1.13easement over, under, and across the West 66 feet thereof, and the East 132 feet of the
1.14Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 42 North, Range 17
1.15West, Wilma Township, Pine County, Minnesota, subject to a public road easement over,
1.16under, and across the West 66 feet thereof.
1.17(d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
1.18best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership. The county will be able to
1.19access adjacent tax-forfeited property by the public road easement.
