1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for acquiring right-of-way,
1.3design, and construction of an extension of the Beaver Island Trail from River
1.4Bluffs Regional Park in St. Cloud to Opportunity Business Park in St. Cloud;
1.5authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.7 Section 1. BEAVER ISLAND TRAIL.
1.8 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.9fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a grant to the city of St. Cloud as a
1.10member of the Central Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Coordination Board to
1.11acquire the necessary right-of-way, to design, and to construct a segment of the Beaver
1.12Island Trail from River Bluffs Regional Park to Opportunity Business Park in St. Cloud.
1.13No local match is required.
1.14 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.15bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.16bonds of the state in an amount up to $500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.17the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.18Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
