1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Lanesboro Dam;
1.3authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. LANESBORO DAM.
1.6 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $1,100,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a grant under Minnesota Statutes,
1.8section 103G.511, to the city of Lanesboro for replacement of the Lanesboro Dam in
1.9Fillmore County. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 103G.511, subdivision 3,
1.10or any other law to the contrary, this appropriation does not require a local match.
1.11Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.641, subdivision 8, or any other
1.12law to the contrary, no money may be appropriated for this project before June 1, 2014.
1.13 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.14bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.15bonds of the state in an amount up to $1,100,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.16the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.17Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.18EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
