1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to lobbyists; prohibiting former legislators, constitutional officers, and
1.3agency heads from lobbying for legislative or administrative action for two
1.4years after leaving office;proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
1.5chapter 10A.
1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.7    Section 1. [10A.035] LOBBYING RESTRICTION.
1.8An individual may not act as a lobbyist who attempts to influence legislative or
1.9administrative action for two years after leaving one of the following offices or positions:
1.10(1) member of the legislature;
1.11(2) constitutional officer; or
1.12(3) commissioner, deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner, or head of any
1.13state department or agency.
