1.1A Senate resolution
1.2Congratulating Blake Browning for Receiving the Eagle Scout Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America is an organization dedicated to promoting community
1.4involvement, character building, citizenship and personal fitness; and
1.5WHEREAS, the highest advancement rank is the rank of Eagle Scout and to earn the rank, a Boy
1.6Scout must fulfill specific requirements in the areas of leadership, service and outdoor skills; and
1.7WHEREAS, the rank of an Eagle Scout is the highest honor, promoting community service which
1.8will serve the young man throughout his life; and
1.9WHEREAS, Blake Browning earned 21 merit badges in service to the State of Minnesota and the
1.10St. Michael and Albertville community; and
1.11WHEREAS, Blake Browning planned and completed a service project in which he constructed
1.12seating and planters and painted a gazebo for residents of The Legacy of St. Michael senior living community;
1.13and
1.14WHEREAS, Blake Browning has attained the highest honor of Scouting, the rank of Eagle Scout as
1.15a member of Troop Number 547; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it commends
1.17Blake Browning on his dedication and congratulates him in earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a copy of this
1.19resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the Senate Rules and
1.20Administration Committee, and transmit it to Blake Browning.
