1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the Rushford VFW Post 5905 on receiving the Diamond Jubilee Award
1.3for 75 years of service.
1.4WHEREAS, the mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is to foster camaraderie
1.5among United States veterans of overseas conflicts, to serve our veterans, the military, and our
1.6communities, and to advocate on behalf of all veterans; and
1.7WHEREAS, the Diamond Jubilee Award is given to VFW Posts upon completion of 75
1.8years of dedication and support to veterans and their communities; and
1.9WHEREAS, the Rushford VFW Post is deserving of special recognition in honor of 75 years
1.10of exceptional service to the United States and the veterans of Minnesota through dedicated support
1.11for the programs and purposes of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and
1.12WHEREAS, a ceremony was held Saturday, February 13, 2021, where the Diamond Jubilee
1.13Award was presented to the Rushford VFW Post 5905; and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.15recognizes the Rushford VFW Post 5905 for 75 years of service to the veterans of Minnesota; and
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.17enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.18Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Commander Maynard
1.19La Fleur and the members of VFW Post 5905.
