1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Katy Lindberg on being named the Hastings Volunteer of the Year.
1.3WHEREAS, the Hastings Minnesota Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau
1.4annually recognizes an outstanding local volunteer; and
1.5WHEREAS, volunteers are the heart and soul of every community and Katy Lindberg's
1.6passion for the Hastings area shows through her volunteer work; and
1.7WHEREAS, Katy has served in leadership roles with numerous service organizations
1.8throughout the community, including the Hastings Family Service Board, Hastings Chamber Board,
1.9and Hastings Rotary Board; and
1.10WHEREAS, Katy is also an active member of the Rivertown Days planning committee and
1.11the Downtown Business Association's Classic Car Show committee; and
1.12WHEREAS, based on her outstanding accomplishments, Katy was named the Hastings
1.13Volunteer of the Year, which will be awarded by the Hastings Minnesota Area Chamber of
1.14Commerce and Tourism Bureau at their Annual Awards Dinner on February 24, 2022, at the
1.15Hastings Public House; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.17commends Katy Lindberg on being named the Hastings Volunteer of the Year and extends
1.18appreciation for her contributions to her community and state.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.20enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.21Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Katy Lindberg.
