SJR 58 - Currently, the Missouri Constitution allows the Highways and Transportation Commission to expend money from the State Road Fund without an appropriation by the General Assembly.
This constitutional amendment, if approved by voters, provides that money from the State Road Fund shall not be used to employ personnel in an amount greater than that approved annually by the Joint Committee on Transportation Oversight.
This constitutional amendment is similar to SJR 56 (2022), SJR 57 (2022), and SJR 59 (2022).
