AN ACT

To amend chapter 376, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to services provided by athletic trainers.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 376, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 376.1245, to read as follows:

            376.1245. A health carrier or health benefit plan may not deny reimbursement to an athletic trainer licensed under chapter 334 who provides covered benefit services within the scope of practice of an athletic trainer. For the purposes of this section, the terms "covered benefit", "health benefit plan", and "health carrier" shall have the same meaning as defined in section 376.1350.
