Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-19-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Individuals Who Are Licensed By The State Department Of Education As An Expert Citizen And Employed In A School District That Is Experiencing A Critical Teacher Shortage May Receive A Minimum Rate Of Compensation By Crediting Such Individuals With 3/4 Of A Year Of Teaching Experience For Each Year Of Experience In His Or Her Field Of Professional Or Vocational Expertise; To Provide That Such Individuals Shall Be Compensated At The Same Endorsement Levels That Correlate With His Or Her Educational Degree Credentials; To Amend Section 37-3-2, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.
