Summary
An Act To Amend Section 47-7-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Whenever The Governor Requests That The State Parole Board Investigate An Applicant For A Pardon, The Board Shall Notify The District Attorney And Sheriff Of The County In Which The Felony Crime Was Committed Of Such Investigation; To Provide That The Victim's Immediate Family Be Notified Of Such Investigation And The Possible Granting Of A Pardon By The Governor; To Extend The Date Of Repeal On This Section From July 1, 2012, To July 1, 2014; And For Related Purposes.
