Summary
An Act To Amend Section 37-13-61, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit Local School Boards From Establishing As The Opening Date Of The School Term Any Date That Is Before The Fourth Monday In August; To Require All Instructional Days To Be Conducted In A Manner Consistent With Fulfilling The Minimum Number Of Days For The Academic Year; To Prohibit Staff Development Training During A Regular School Day; To Prescribe Those Holidays That Must Be Observed As School Holidays; To Create The "mississippi Successful School Performance Task Force"; To Provide For The Composition Of Its Membership And Its Duties; And For Related Purposes.
