Summary

An Act To Amend Section 57-89-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Definition Of The Terms "base Investment," "motion Picture" And "motion Picture Production Company" For Purposes Of The Mississippi Motion Picture Incentive Act; To Amend Section 57-89-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That In Order To Be Eligible For A Rebate Under The Mississippi Motion Picture Incentive Act, A Motion Picture Production Company Must Expend At Least $50,000.00 In Base Investment Or Payroll, Or Both In This State; To Revise The Investment Rebate Percentages Authorized Under The Mississippi Motion Picture Incentive Act; To Amend Section 27-65-101, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For The Repeal Of The Industrial Sales Tax Exemption For Sales Of Certain Machinery And Equipment Used In The Production Of Motion Pictures; And For Related Purposes.
