An Act To Revise Various Provisions Of The Mississippi School Safety Act Of 2001; To Amend Section 37-11-55, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Delete The Authority Granted To School Principals To Overrule A Teacher's Decision To Remove A Disruptive Student From The Classroom; To Bring Forward Other Sections Of The Mississippi School Safety Act Of 2001 For Purposes Of Possible Amendment, Including Section 37-3-81, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Requires The State Department Of Education To Establish And Maintain A School Safety Center, Section 37-3-83, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Establishes The School Safety Grant Program Within The Department, Section 37-3-93, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Establishes The School Crisis Management Program Under The Department, Section 37-11-18.1, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Authorizes The Automatic Expulsion Of Certain Habitually Disruptive Students, Section 37-11-53, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Requires All School Districts To Adopt A Discipline Plan And Prescribes Minimum Provisions For Those Plans, And Section 37-11-54, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Requires The State Board Of Education To Develop A List Of Conflict Resolution And Peer Mediation Materials; And For Related Purposes.
