Summary
An Act To Amend Section 73-19-1, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The State Board Of Optometry Shall Define The Practice Of Optometry; To Prohibit The Board, In Defining The Practice Of Optometry, From Including Certain Ophthalmic Surgery Procedures; To Provide That The Board Shall Determine The Appropriate Hours Of Additional Training For Any New Procedure Offered By Optometrists In Mississippi; To Bring Forward Sections 73-19-3 Through 73-19-9, 73-19-13 Through 73-19-21, 73-19-25, 73-19-27, 73-19-29, 73-19-33 Through 73-19-45, 73-19-101 Through 73-19-111 And 73-19-151 Through 73-19-165, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Relate To The Regulation Of The Practice Of Optometry, For The Purposes Of Possible Amendment; To Amend Sections 73-19-11 And 73-19-23, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Relate To The Regulation Of The Practice Of Optometry, To Make Some Minor, Nonsubstantive Changes; And For Related Purposes; And For Related Purposes.
