Summary

An Act To Amend Section 73-21-155, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The State Board Of Pharmacy To Impose An Administrative Penalty On Pharmacy Benefit Managers That Are Not In Compliance With The Requirement To Reimburse Pharmacists For Prescription Drugs Using The Most Current Nationally Recognized Reference Price In Possession Of The Pharmacy Benefit Manager On The Date Of Electronic Adjudication Or On The Date Of Service, Or The Requirement To Update The Nationally Recognized Reference Prices Used For Calculation Of Reimbursement For Prescription Drugs Not Less Than Every Three Business Days; To Authorize The Board To Adopt Rules And Regulations Necessary To Ensure Compliance With The Pharmacy Benefit Prompt Pay Act; To Amend Sections 73-21-153, 73-21-157 And 73-21-159, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Transfer The Duties Of The Commissioner Of Insurance Under The Pharmacy Benefit Prompt Pay Act To The State Board Of Pharmacy; And For Related Purposes.
