Summary

An Act To Create The Educational Facilities Construction, Infrastructure And Capital Improvements Grant Program For The Purpose Of Constructing New And Improving Existing Educational Facilities In The State Of Mississippi; To Provide That The State Department Of Education Shall Administer The Program And Promulgate The Necessary Rules And Regulations For Its Administration; To Create The "educational Facilities Construction, Infrastructure And Capital Improvements Grant Fund In The State Treasury; To Authorize Public School Districts To Submit Applications To The Department Of Education For Grants From The Fund; To Designate The Purposes For Which Grants May Be Used And The Percentage Of The Grant Fund To Be Made Available For Grants To Different Educational Institutions; To Establish The Maximum Grant Amounts Per District Allowable Over The Course Of A Five Fiscal Years; To Amend Section 27-65-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Change The Allocation That Was Diverted To The Educational Enhancement Fund To Be Allocated To The Educational Facilities Construction, Infrastructure And Capital Improvements Grant Fund; And For Related Purposes.
