Summary

An Act To Prohibit Step Therapy Protocol From Being Used For Any Drug That Is Approved By The United States Food And Drug Administration For The Treatment Of Postpartum Depression; To Provide That Postnatal Care Patients And Birthing Mothers Shall Be Offered Screenings For Postpartum Depression; To Provide That The Screening Process Shall Be In Line With Evidence-based Guidelines; To Provide The Protocols To Follow If A Postnatal Care Patient Or Birthing Mother Is Found To Be Suffering From Postpartum Depression; To Provide That An Insurer Shall Provide Coverage For Postpartum Depression Screening; To Amend Sections 43-13-117 And 83-9-36, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Provisions Of This Act; And For Related Purposes.
