Summary

An Act To Authorize An Income Tax Credit For Taxpayers That Are Awarded Contracts With The United States Department Of Defense; To Provide For The Amount Of The Tax Credit; To Provide That Any Tax Credit Claimed Under This Act But Not Used In Any Taxable Year May Be Carried Forward For Five Consecutive Years From The Close Of The Tax Year In Which The Credit Was Earned; To Provide That The Mississippi Development Authority Shall Establish A Program To Make Grants To Business Enterprises For The Purpose Of Assisting The Enterprises In Constructing Facilities And Making Upgrades And Improvements To Facilities That Are Necessary For The Performance Of, Or To Facilitate The Performance Of, Contracts Awarded To Such Enterprises With The United States Department Of Defense And In Order For The Business Enterprises To Become More Competitive Or Remain Competitive In Bidding For The Award Of Contracts With The United States Department Of Defense; To Authorize The Issuance Of $5,000,000.00 Of State General Obligation Bonds To Provide Funds For Such Grant Program; And For Related Purposes.
